About the role

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer (Superstructures) for a high-profile civil construction project in Fremantle, WA. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the achievement of Laing O’Rourke’s safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences.
• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities of the project to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
• Provide Project Engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process.
• Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress.
• Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting.
• Support the site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages.
• Assist with technical queries.
• Provide direction and supervision for Site Engineers, as required.

About you

• A degree qualification in Civil Engineering along with construction contracting experience having worked as a Project Engineer for Tier 1 Construction Contractors
• Structures and/or viaducts experience on large scale public infrastructure/rail projects
• Recent experience with stay cable bridge and/or match cast segmental construction methodology
• A strong commercial acumen
• A collaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills
• A high attention to detail
