We have an opportunity for a Civil Project Manager to join the team at our Master Planned Community project in North Shore, Burdell, Townsville. In this role you will lead the delivery of project management expertise and facilitate project delivery.

The Opportunity

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Provide project management expertise from project inception to completion in partnership with Development Managers.
• Ensure projects are scoped, designed, built and delivered on time, budget and to required quality specification.
• Provide specialist project management tools, resources and advice to support large and complex projects through to completion.
• Preparation of delivery strategies for major staged subdivision and mixed use developments.
• Facilitate, manage and drive efficiency through project cost plans in partnership with Development Managers, authorities, consultant and contractors to realise cost savings.
• Demonstrate innovation to create financial benefit for the project.
• Demonstrate implementing solutions to construction challenges.
• Manage and contribute to relationships with key stakeholder groups as directed by the Development Manager including the contractors, consultants, approval authorities to achieve required business outcomes and in a manner that enhances the image and reputation of Stockland.
• Establish partnering relationships with relevant external contractors, consultants and suppliers to facilitate cost, value and/ or program efficiencies to Stockland.
• Ensue project priorities are clearly established and frequently communicated with all key stakeholders.

About You

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience
• Extensive experience managing construction teams and relevant consultants
• Strong ability to lead, drive and motivate contractors and consultant to achieve program milestones
• Demonstrated commercial/financial acumen
• Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skill
• Proven understanding of project management best practice, tools and techniques
• Proven understanding of legal requirements and obligations in the administration of contracts
• Experience and understanding of the development construction industry including design, building and construction
• Strong networks of consultant, authority and contractor stakeholders
