We are looking for:
Byron Shire Council is currently seeking a Project Officer. This role is a great opportunity to deliver a high level of project delivery services in the planning, design and construction of Council infrastructure..
About you:
Tertiary qualifications variously in Building Certification, Project Management, Building Construction, Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
Experience in the management of local government project delivery or the equivalent in another sector of significant projects greater than one million dollars.
Demonstrated high level procurement and contract management skills and experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work with the community, committees, government agencies and contractors with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
We offer:
A full-time, fixed term contract to March 2026 (35 hours per week)
Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary Grade 11 in the range of $1,878.98 to $2,177.08 per 35 hour week (dependent upon skills and experience)

Location:
This position is based at Mullumbimby, however Council can require you to work from other work sites as required for operational reasons.
