Form of workThe mandate of the Offender Management Officer role is to:
- Support Victoria Police to uphold the sexual safety of the community
- Provide timely, practical, and tailored documents and advice to assist Victoria Police with the management of sexual offenders
- Enable defensible and effective triaging and prioritisation of offenders
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders with confidence regarding risk
- Attendance and active participation in case conferences regarding offenders
Your Duties Will Include
- Risk identification and communication
- Producing high quality written risk products
- Working collaboratively alongside intelligence analysts
- Providing timely, risk relevant information and advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to formal reporting, triaging and data collection
- Maintaining contemporary knowledge regarding risk assessment tools designed for sex offenders
- A demonstrated interest in the subject matter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with risk assessment and sex offender management.
- Well-developed analytical skills to prepare a range of reports and correspondence
- Experience in assessing highly confidential information
- Ability to provide sound advice within strict legislative requirements and confidentiality constraints
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
- In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
