About the Role

The Property Manager oversees, manages and procures, if necessary, all Parkerville CYC privately owned and leased buildings, service sites, plants and ‘other’ assets to ensure they are utilised to their best and most viable outcome, appropriately maintained, safe, fit for purpose and aligned with organisational values and service (ours and any tenants we collocate with) requirements.

This will be offered on a full-time basis, primarily at our Midland location but will include travel to other locations as and when required.

As a Property Manager, your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure all properties are managed in accordance with legislative and contractual requirements, meeting all compliance and work standards.
  • Develop a strategic property management guide to set standards and inform Parkerville actions.
  • Provide leadership to the Property and Maintenance Coordinator and any other relevant staff or contractors; including supervision, development, and support to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, contracts or agreements, Parkerville CYC policies and processes, and budgets.
  • In consultation with the Executive Manager Support Services, develop and effectively manage the operational budget for all Parkerville properties.
  • Develop, design and oversee long and short-term maintenance schedules for all Parkerville owned properties and work with the team to fund and deliver desired and affordable outcomes.
  • Ensure that all unplanned urgent and planned safety related work is completed as a priority and that a full report on activity is provided to the OSH committee and Executive Manager

In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have:

  • Proven capacity and commitment to support and promote the mission and values of Parkerville Children and Youth Care.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage a building maintenance and repair programme compliant with the relevant regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Sound practical knowledge and experience managing leasing and licencing arrangements.
  • Experience and proven ability to supervise employees.
  • Personal organisational skills including initiative and the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to and participation in agency systems improvement processes.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience and demonstrated capacity to work with young people.
  • An understanding of the community services sector’s obligations to funders.
  • Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
