We have shifts on the Mornington Peninsula
As a Patient Services Assistant (PSA) you will be at the forefront when it comes to supporting your patient’s needs in a hospital or healthcare setting. You are the friendly face that delivers their meals, makes their beds, and supports them with other general cleaning duties. You will also take a leading role in patient transport. All of this needs to be done with a smile and a genuine caring attitude for your clients.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The PSA position works closely with health professionals to support the patients by providing a range of patient and environmental support services including;
- Maintaining a high standard of cleaning and housekeeping to support infection control and patient comfort
- Transporting patients and/or equipment between departments in a timely manner
- Maintaining the clinical environment by replenishing stock , changing bed linen, disposing of waste, putting new stock away
- General ward support including errand running & courier equipment between units/departments as required
- Assisting relevant health professionals to monitor patient welfare and comfort in patient bed rooms, lounges and waiting room
- Waste collection, linen transportation and manual handling
- Handling soiled linen, general or biomedical waste using correct PPE
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
The successful applicant will:
- Have a Certificate III Patient Services Assistant or Health Services Assistant.
- Be Flexible and reliable.
- Be a part of a company that truly values Healthcare professionals.
- Current Police Check without Disclosable Outcomes
- Can provide 2 x supervisory references related to the role.
- Employment Working with Children’s Check.
- Current COVID & Flu Vax
