The Position: Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse (PEN) Grade 2 – Medication Endorsed| Part-time –64hrs per fortnight
We are inviting applications from clinicians with keen interest to join our multidisciplinary mental health team at St Albans Community Care Unit for the Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse (PEN) Grade 2 – Medication Endorsed
St Albans Community Care Unit is a 10-unit complex accommodating 20 beds, with 24-hour nursing care support. It provides recovery-focused rehabilitation in a community residential setting, to consumers who typically have multiple and complex needs. The aim is to increase individual’s psychosocial independence through a variety of person-centred programs to develop daily living skills
To be Successful in this Role, you will:
- Hold a current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA, completed a Diploma in nursing and medication endorsed (s/c, IM, enteral, topical routes) in addition to base qualification
- Demonstrate understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Have excellent interpersonal skills plus the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families/carers, colleagues and other service providers
- Positively contribute to the multidisciplinary team, and contribute your expertise in clinical meetings, ensuring clinical standards of care are met
- Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)
