The Position:
- Supervise and direct supply store staff.
- Maintain a secure and clean stores facility.
- Organize the stores facility so all items are accessible.
- Perform tasks to ensure efficient day-to-day stores operations including material/equipment ordering, receiving, dispersing, issuing and disposing.
- Provide materials/equipment to internal staff, including specific inventories in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Receive and store incoming materials, equipment, inspecting and ensuring accuracy and quality of goods.
- Perform work or use equipment reliant on holding formal licenses (such as forklift license) to undertake stores/logistics activities including unloading and distribution of goods or moving pallets.
- Monitor stocks of max/min materials and equipment and raise purchase requisitions as required to ensure ready supply to meet business needs.
- Carry out formal stocktakes to meet defined schedules and timeframes.
- Create and maintain supplier relationships.
- Implement supply chain strategies.
- Procure stock required to support the business production requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience performing a range of stores management activities.
- Demonstrated ability to use manual and computerised systems to support stores management operations.
- Minimum class C drivers and forklift licence and willingness to update licences and undertake essential training as required.
- Strong organization skills
