We are currently recruiting a Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain team in Belmont in a permanent, full-time capacity. Reporting to the Purchasing Lead, this role will serve as a key liaison with suppliers, fostering and managing supplier relationships while also providing vital support for the day-to-day operations of the supply chain.
The position will suit a motivated individual who can work both autonomously and as part of a team, enjoys variety and thrives on challenges.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with the end to end purchasing & logistics process Purchase order processing & general administration.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth interactions and reliable supply.
- Monitor and review supplier open orders to ensure on-time deliveries and fulfillment.
- Efficiently prioritising prompt resolution of purchase and supplier queries. Communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and stakeholders. Coordinate with the Accounts Payable team for invoice processing and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within purchasing and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in a purchasing/procurement environment
- Exposure in healthcare desirable, but not essential
- Have excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
- Effective time-management and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to demonstrate initiative.
- Great work ethic with the ability to think outside the square.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
