Job description:
We are now seeking a Purchasing Officer for our head office team in South Bank. You will report to the Procurement Team Lead and be responsible and accountable for the centralised purchasing process across all BUMA Australia projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase and supply of goods ordered across all BUMA Australia projects
- Identify the most competitive and reliable supply of materials
- Ensure correct coding of orders
- Freight costing of goods and services for tendering purposes
- Freight management of outwards goods - export
- Assist in resolving vouchers logged relevant to the purchasing process
- Maintain catalogue disciplines
- Maintain product catalogue
- Support Category Management team in maintaining supplier pricing relationships
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Maintain the office taking into account Occupational, Health and Safety Regulations
- Other relevant duties as directed which may include travel
- Ensure compliance with Delegated Authorities
- Comply with policies and procedures relating to the maintenance of safe systems of work
Profile description:
About You:
- Significant purchasing experience
- Purchasing experience in construction and/or heavy equipment is desirable
- Knowledgeable use of SAP in the Supply Chain functions
- Computerised catalogue and inventory control experience
- Appreciation of plant machinery and systems
- SAP S4/HANA
- Demonstrated skills in problem solving, communication, organisation and time management
