Short Description:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team in Eagle Farm. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on our procurement processes and contribute to the growth and success of our business. This is a 3 month contract position, with the opportunity to go full time permanent for the right candidate.
The Role:
As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials used in production. You will collaborate with suppliers, maintain the MRP, and work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain an efficient supply chain. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to analyze market trends will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, market trends, and supply chain management.
- Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- SAP expeerience highly beneficial
