The Quality Engineer will play a key role providing support for the operation and maintenance of the company’s Quality, Environmental and Safety System including but not limited to auditing, reporting, inspection, evaluation, metrology and customer interface on Quality matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing production quality support, be a central point of contact for manufacturing quality related issues.
- Ensuring the quality of outgoing products is maintained through periodic audits and inspection.
- As needed, leading coordination of production quality issues ensuring identification of root cause(s) and corrective actions are implemented and effective.
- Ensuring incoming materials & products meet specification.
- Documenting non-conforming materials and following up on product non-conformances
- Managing the quality auditing process
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in either quality systems / inspection, metrology or engineering
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A sound knowledge of ISO 9000, 14001 & 45001 quality systems
- Experience in metrology, inspection and testing
- Six Sigma qualifications – minimum green belt
- Sound communication skills
- Ability to manage work priorities effectively
- A good understanding of mechanical inspection and electronics testing methods & procedures
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, and undertake metrology
