The College is seeking applications for a Reception and Administration Officer to promote the vision and mission of Salesian College and contribute to educational goals by assisting the Reception and Administration team.

A Child Safe School in accordance with Ministerial Order 1359
Salesian College provides employees, volunteers and clergy with regular and appropriate opportunities to develop their knowledge of, openness to and ability to address child safety matters. This includes induction, ongoing training and professional learning in accordance with Ministerial Order 1359 to ensure that everyone understands and is compliant in their professional and legal obligations and responsibilities, and the procedures for reporting suspicion of child abuse and neglect.
The Position
The Reception and Administration Officer promotes the vision and mission of Salesian College and contributes to the College’s educational goals by assisting students on a day to day basis and provide administrative support necessary for the smooth functioning of the College. The position will work one day a week at the Bosco Campus on main Reception and two days a week at the Mannix campus supporting the Year Nine Coordinator and campus staff.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate evidence of:
- A capacity to understand and animate Catholic identity, Salesian charism and College values in all aspects of College life.
- A commitment to Child Safety and the welfare of young people and a strong knowledge and understanding of Child Safety legislation and responsibilities
- Relevant experience and strong administrative skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic administration team that serves the College community.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues, students, parents, visitors, contractors, prospective employees and agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage a number of tasks and be an adept problem solver.
