Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist preferred
- Exposure to medical software and IT skills (Pracsoft, Xero & Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Medicare, DVA and health-fund billings
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and highly motivated to work independently
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and adapt to change in a clinical setting
Tasks & responsibilities
- Front desk reception, greeting patients and taking incoming calls
- Managing both incoming and outgoing faxes and emails
- Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
- End of day and weekly banking run
- Running and Coordinating patient clinics. Assisting Orthopaedic specialty practice staff
- Billing and receipting of patient consultations
- Managing department stock and medical supplies
