Receptionist

Qualifications & experience

• Previous experience working as a medical receptionist preferred
• Exposure to medical software and IT skills (Pracsoft, Xero & Outlook)
• Working knowledge of Medicare, DVA and health-fund billings
• Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and highly motivated to work independently
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve and adapt to change in a clinical setting

Tasks & responsibilities

• Front desk reception, greeting patients and taking incoming calls
• Managing both incoming and outgoing faxes and emails
• Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
• End of day and weekly banking run
• Running and Coordinating patient clinics. Assisting Orthopaedic specialty practice staff
• Billing and receipting of patient consultations
• Managing department stock and medical supplies
