Ipswich Therapy Centre was founded by our Managing Director and Principal Occupational Therapist Debbie Davies in 2017. Ipswich Therapy Centre has grown and we now have a number of Occupational Therapists and Support Coordinators. We are passionate about the work we do.

Ipswich Therapy Centre is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic receptionist to join our growing Allied Health practice based in Ipswich. A willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential for this position, supporting our Occupational Therapists and Support Coordinators.
Key accountabilities include:
- Answering and screening all incoming phone calls and emails
- Greeting all customers and/or visitors over the phone or face to face in a friendly manner
- Processing patient payments and claims (HICAPS, NDIS, Medicare, DVA)
- Invoicing and billing
- Managing appointments and bookings
- Referral intake information and preparing client files
- Manage client waitlist
- Setting up and cleaning therapy rooms before and after sessions
- Providing excellent customer service and patient care
- Managing social media
- General cleaning duties
- Assisting staff with organisation and resourcing
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Previous Allied Health reception experience (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to customer needs
- Exceptional customer service
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- The ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks and be fast working with a high level of accuracy is highly desirable.
- Ability to be responsive in a changing environment
- Ability to prioritise, adapt and manage time to meet deadlines
- Understanding of people’s rights and confidentiality
- To be respectful and non-discriminatory
