What this opportunity involves:

JLL, a global leader in providing property solutions, is offering an exciting opportunity for an energetic and customer-service focused Receptionist to join our team in Canberra. As a part of our Government client's organization, you will play a vital role in delivering a superior and engaging workplace experience for visitors and clients.

An Overview of the role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to meet the expectations of on-site clients.
  • Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, including desk and seating areas.
  • Promptly welcome and assist clients, notifying relevant staff members of their arrival.
  • Manage the visitor management system, calendar, and switchboard directory.
  • Issue visitor passes and handle associated paperwork.
  • Record and handle all incoming mails.
  • Build and nurture collaborative relationships with clients/stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure any faults or defects are reported to the facilities team for resolution.
  • Maintain security requirements.
  • Provide support to the reception/conference services team as required.
  • Collaborate with the JLL Facilities Management team to ensure service delivery.

  • Demonstrated passion for customer service, gained through previous experience in reception or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive "can do" attitude.
  • Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in meeting Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets.
  • Australian citizenship is a requirement to comply with our client's guidelines, with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance. Minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance preferred.
