Receptionist
Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays)
The Company
Port Hedland Medical Centre is a Pilbara based provider of community, general and occupational health services.
To be suited to this role, you need to enjoy working within a busy team environment and demonstrate your outstanding customer service skills.
Applicants should be residents of Port Hedland or have plans to relocate as accommodation is not offered.
The Role:
- Answer phone calls in an efficient and polite manner
- Schedule and reschedule appointments as requested
- Monitor waiting room times
- Screen telephone enquiries for nurses and doctors
- Attend to all incoming and outgoing mail
- Closing the banking at the end of the day
- Batching Medicare
- Opening and closing the practice
- Arrange Drug and Alcohol testing for walk-in clients
- Invoicing, particularly in relation to Workers' Compensation
- Scan and File patient results
- Faxing imaging requests
- Managing Intra-mail to doctors (i.e. patient requests)
- Liaise with couriers
- Maintain a tidy office and waiting room at all times
The Candidate:
- Must be able to provide a high level of administrative support
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritise in order to manage workload
- Must have a flexible, proactive attitude
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Well-developed communication skills
- Must be highly organised
- Word and Excel experience highly regarded
- ZedMed experience desirable
- Previous medical administration experience will be highly regarded
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
