We are looking for a new person to join our busy award winning northern suburbs optometry practice. Here at Martin's Eyecare we are passionate about people's eyes! We love to make sure our patients get the best in both eye care and eye wear!
The successful candidate will have a warm and friendly manner, be an excellent communicator and able to relate well to a diverse range of people.
We need someone with a confident phone manner, excellent attention to detail and able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
Previous experience in the Optical industry or other allied health practice would be an advantage but not essential for someone willing to learn. We are happy to offer on-the-job training for a candidate that is interested in making optics into career. A keen interest in fashion and a desire to help each person to look their best is also essential.
Daily tasks would include:
- Answering the phone, welcoming patients to the practice and running the appointment book.
- Assisting patients with frame selection, fitting and adjustment
- Banking, filing and general admin duties
- Dispensing spectacles
- Liaising with relevant government agencies and various suppliers
The position being offered is currently part-time but negotiable for full time for the right candidate who would like a long term career role and formal training as an Optical Dispenser.
Daily hours are 8.45am to 5.15pm. The store is open Monday to Friday and shut for all public holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.
