An exciting opportunity to join the RFS Records team on an ongoing basis. The role assists the Records Team with the lifecycle management of RFS records (paper and digital) in compliance with the State Records Act and relevant legislative requirements. The role also assists with the management of corporate mail service (sorting, collection, and distribution) adhering to the delivery timeframe to remain an efficient mail service.
As our ideal candidate, you will:
- Have an understanding and knowledge of the ‘Key Provisions’ of the current State Records Act.
- An understanding and knowledge of key recordkeeping tools such as thesauri, business classification schemes, and retention and disposal authorities.
- Assist the RFS Records Team in providing records management-related support services to RFS staff across the state.
- Have the ability to work in the office full-time and be flexible with start and finish times.
- Have previous experience in records management, and/or mail room functions.
An appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based community service will be highly regarded.
