An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional to join the University’s Office of Procurement Services Team as Procurement Officer!The Procurement Officer provides procurement expertise and assists stakeholders to source and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives. This will include:
- Conducting sourcing activities
- Preparing and reviewing RFx documents and purchasing documents
- Supporting the development of contract management activities
- Maintaining and updating procurement records
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review of RFx documents and purchasing documents related to any procurement activities.
- Support the development of contract management activities, resolution of issues, and negotiate variations to Purchase Orders, contracts and/or agreements to enhance business outcomes.
- Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate procurement risks.
- Apply the procurement governance and risk management framework to manage compliance, risk and obligations for all procurement activities conducted.
- Lead probity and governance awareness and adherence with internal customers and suppliers.
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience, education/training and achievement.
- Substantial experience in end-to-end procurement activities.
- Knowledge and ability to undertake and manage procurement matters with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of market engagement models, concepts of Source to Contract and Procure to Pay.
- Knowledge of Procurement and contract management frameworks.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
