The School of Education is seeking a reliable, collegial, and accountable colleague to take on the role of HEW6 Governance and Compliance Officer in the Dean's Unit. Supporting a well-developed and manageable portfolio the successful candidate will work alongside professional, supportive, service-oriented colleagues.The Governance and Compliance Officer works closely with the Deputy Dean and Associate Dean, Teaching and Learning and is responsible for supporting the complex administration needs of the School’s accredited Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs. This includes case management of the student misconduct process, ensuring academic and non-academic misconduct cases are dealt with effectively and in accordance with the appropriate guidelines and procedures.The Governance and Compliance Officer will also ensure that accreditation requirements, as they relate to 'membership bodies', are delivered effectively and that student progression is supported through a robust administrative program ‘special requirements’ system.The Governance and Compliance Officer will provide professional secretariat support to ensure that the requirements of School based committees, working groups and other meetings are addressed and satisfied and will provide administrative support for the School’s Risk Management activities.Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Penrith campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.If this sounds like an opportunity for you, we want to hear from you!
