The Opportunity
Excitingly, Northern Beaches Hospital is in a transformational phase as it's now five years since opening and it's become a major player as an integrated healthcare business that delivers outstanding patient outcomes. The Regional Business Development Manager role is suited to an experienced professional looking to challenge themselves as they support the hospital leadership team to deliver experiences that make a difference every day to our patients and our medical practitioner partners. We are seeking a seasoned professional who can develop and implement strategies that support the hospital's annual growth plan, in line with the clinical services plan.
About You
You will be a highly skilled Business Development professional who has demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and General Practitioners, have a thorough understanding of hospital operations and how to drive successful Business Development initiatives. Your ability to articulate complex commercial terms and business proposals in a tertiary healthcare setting will make you an ideal candidate, as will your ability in making data driven decisions, having effective communication, presentation and reporting skills, and above all having a professional and engaging manner. You will need to be self-motivated and have a proven track record in delivering healthcare Business Development programs focused on ambitious yet achievable growth targets.
The competitive salary will be matched with your experience in addition to the usual tools of trade including laptop, corporate credit card, annual car allowance paid monthly and mobile phone.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications (highly desirable) - bachelor's in business or a health background
- experience in private hospital clinical services development and procedural services optimisation
- exceptional communication skills and a strong desire to partner with stakeholders
- practiced skills in the direct delivery of referral generation initiatives
- ability to identify, develop and promote new services across priority specialties
- the ability to thrive in a hands-on ever changing environment
- prior experience in Business Development/sales in a healthcare or hospital environment.
