Do you want to be part of a new way of delivering mental health services?Are you passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities in rural and regional NSW?This role is a rare opportunity to play a critical part in the implementation of a NSW Government funded Aboriginal-led model of mental health and wellbeing care, delivered by a consortium of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in partnership with Western NSW Local Health District and the Ministry of Health.This position includes an initial attraction and relocation payment of$20,000 and up to $10,000 each year afterEmployment type: full time up to 3 years with potential to extendRemuneration: $105,553 - $128,653 per annum (+super)Hours per week: Up to 35Base Location: Forbes or Condobolin, NSW (dependent on preference of successful applicant).Travel within Central West NSW is an essential part of this roleThis dynamic role will allow the successful applicant to collaborate with the Aboriginal Medical Services involved within the partnership and the Ministry of Health to determine and develop the service delivery, processes and obligations. The purpose of the role is to support rural Aboriginal patients with much needed and required Psychology services via onsite outreach consultations and occasional telehealth as per high need.You will have the opportunity to build the mental health and wellbeing capacity of participating Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, develop strong clinical relationships with Local Health District Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol teams and continue to improve mental health referral pathways in the region. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enhance the mental health of Aboriginal patients and improve health outcomes for our Aboriginal people with the ability to utilise the services workforce.
