About the Kimberley Ambulance Service
The Kimberley Ambulance Service (KAS) is responsible for providing the jurisdictional emergency Ambulance Service to approximately 300,000 square kms of Western Australia. Our Registered Paramedics are based out of four main healthcare sites across the beautiful Kimberley Ranges, Western Australia.
Distinctive to the Kimberly Ambulance Service, in addition to responding to emergency 000 ambulance calls, Paramedics work in the hospital emergency department, giving our Paramedics the unique opportunity to apply their clinical skills in an emergency department setting as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
About the role
This is a unique and innovative opportunity for a Paramedic to expand their professional scope in a hybrid model of care where they will work as a valued team member in the Emergency Department whilst also providing an 000 Emergency Ambulance Service.
This is a FIFO role with an option of 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off or 2 weeks on, and 2 off rosters (depending on location) allowing for a fantastic work life balance.
Mandatory qualifications, certifications, and competencies:
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration
- State/Territory Ambulance Service Paramedic Experience
- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) or ACLS certified or hold Jurisdictional Ambulance Service Authority to Practice.
- Confident in delivering clinical training and support to other health disciplines including doctors, nurses, and orderlies
- Current WA Working With Children's Check (WWC)
- Police Clearance under 6 months old
Desirable qualifications:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Authority to practice as a Critical/Intensive Care Paramedic
Experience, skills, and attributes:
- Self-motivated, able to work both independently within a defined scope of practice and as part of a multi disciplinary clinical team
- Substantial experience with administration of medications according to protocol
- Proactive and customer orientated approach to service delivery
- Team orientated nature and excellent communication skills
- Satisfactory level of computer literacy, administration, and report submission
- Well organised and skilled in communicating with people
- Excellent personal presentation

Location and Remuneration
- Sites are located in Derby, Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek. You may be asked to travel between locations.
- $130,000.00 p.a remuneration package (dependent on level of experience) in addition to superannuation, travel and meal allowances.
