The Role
The Training Accreditation Council Secretariat provides administrative services to the Training Accreditation Council (TAC) which is an independent statutory body that assures the quality of training and assessment of Registered Training Organisations and accreditation of courses in the vocational education and training (VET) sector in Western Australia. The TAC operates within an agreed national regulatory framework and is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant Standards.
The Regulation Officer provides expertise as part of a team of regulatory specialists to ensure that applicants for registration and accreditation and existing providers comply with legislative requirements. This position provides proactive, client-centred regulatory services to training providers in Western Australia through a risk-based approach to the case management of new and registered training organisations and accredited course proponents. The role also assists with industry engagement activities to identify risks to the quality of VET.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in the delivery of regulation and customer-focused services.
As a measure to achieve equality under sections 51, 66R and 66ZP of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people (24 years of age and under) and people with disability who meet the requirements of the position may be prioritised for appointment.
Employee Benefits
You will have access to a range of benefits which may include:

  • Flexible work arrangements including flexitime and working remotely;
  • Flexible leave arrangements, including study leave;
  • A comprehensive health and wellbeing program including Employee Assistance Program and Mental Health Contact Officers;
  • Career and professional development programs and opportunities; and
  • Salary packaging options.
