The opportunity

The opportunity has become available to join our Property Claims team as a Repair Quality Manager. The purpose of this role is to establish, monitor and control property insurance claims management standards and techniques to ensure the provision of an effective, economic, efficient and prompt claims management service.
Your new role
Plan, manage and review performance of partners and providers via on-site and remote audits, claims reviews and referrals
Provide technical expertise and business acumen as a key interface to develop QBE’s partnerships with providers
Establish excellent working relationships both internal and external to QBE, including brokers & partners
Manage vendor relations to develop optimum outcomes & cost performance
Manage relationships with partners and providers to ensure these are constructive and mutually beneficial
Contribute to the development and delivery of a strategic approach to ensure valuable customers are identified and retained within the business to optimise profitability
Monitor trends and recommend and/or implement appropriate strategies to address emerging issues
Develop and implement processes to ensure that the Property Claims function is aligned to the needs of our customers, partners and the business
Develop, implement and communicate Property Claims management strategies and plans that reflect QBE’s business development and profit objectives
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Advanced knowledge of the building industry, Building Codes, insurance and claims
Current costing knowledge of domestic and commercial works
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong building industry experience
Significant proven experience in costing building repairs
Extensive insurance industry experience (desirable)
Relevant trade qualifications
