RS FOODS AND BEVERAGES PTY LTD, trading as Taste of India, is a renowned restaurant situated in the bustling Penrith Westfield Shopping Center in Sydney. We specialize in a rich array of culinary delights including South Indian dishes, opulent Mughlai cuisine, and the exquisite Hyderabadi Nawabi dishes. As we continue to grow and delight our customers with authentic flavors, We are looking for a highly skilled full time Restaurant Manager to join our team and contribute to our warm and inviting atmosphere.
Salary range: 70000 AUD to 85000 AUD + super
Main duties:
1. Check the restaurant's dining and kitchen facilities to make sure they follow food hygiene and occupational health and safety standards.
2. Interacting effectively with councils and other statutory bodies when necessary
3. Ensure that all insurance policies and licenses are up to date and proactively arrange for their timely renewal.
4. Keeping proper computerized records of stock levels and end-of-day closing of financial transactions
5. Coordinate with Chef and plan stocks and work towards limiting the food wastage.
6. Maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of the restaurant facilities and seating areas to ensure a high level of hygiene.
7. Supervise and train staff to ensure they provide excellent service, including taking accurate orders and setting tables correctly.
8. Plan rosters and create weekly schedules for all employees, taking into account any special requests when needed.
9. Welcome and engage with customers to establish relationships and guarantee a memorable dining experience. Also, ask for feedback on our service and food quality.
10. Experience in handling multiple restaurants will be an advantage.
11. Taking feedback into consideration and implementing appropriate actions in response.
12. Should have previous experience in analyzing the current process and improve service quality and meet customer preferences by enhancing customer service through surveys to understand their preferences, and introduce new food items based on their feedback.
13. Interview job applicants for staff positions and negotiate salaries/remuneration
14. Have regular meetings with staff to discuss any issues that may affect the business or require the manager's attention.
15. Addressing and resolving any potential conflicts among staff members, and implementing necessary measures if required.
16. Plan and organize catering for special functions
17. Collaborate with the head chef to create an extraordinary menu tailored specifically for special occasions and outdoor catering.
18. Should have some idea on marketing and advertising through print media , social media andorganize enticing promotions
19. Collaborate with the owner to establish weekly sales objectives and implement measures to decrease operational expenses whenever possible.
20. Negotiate with suppliers for the best prices on food supplies and other essential goods for the restaurant.
Qualification & Requirements:
• Hold at least a Diploma in Hotel Management / bachelors in Hotel Management
• Should have 3 to 4 years full-time relevant work experience
• Must possess excellent communication, organized, creative skills and leadership skills, and interpersonal skills.
