About the role
Due to growth at the plant in Murray Bridge we are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer. To ensure all food regulatory, food safety, customer & country requirements are followed to ensure product integrity & product wholesomeness.
Assist the Supervisor with production employees and coordinates their tasks allocation in accordance with their knowledge and abilities ensuring that they are following work safe and quality procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the QAM in the implementation & maintenance of quality management system at Murray
Bridge & the continued compliance to the referenced quality standards - Perform QA monitoring as directed, monitoring for compliance to HACCP program &
requirements. - Document & report findings to relevant supervisor(s), QAM & other supervisory staff as directed.
- Processes per room in accordance to the MHA guidelines
- Ausmeat specification inspection in accordance to Ausmeat guidelines
- Temperatures – Sterilisers, chillers & Carcases
- Tare checks for weights and measures compliance
- Insert approvals
- Process flows
- Witness & monitor calibration for CL result
- Witness test weights
- Participate in external audits when required
- Assist supervisors with Customer Complaint Investigations
- Xray and Metal detection verification monitoring in accordance to the SOP’s
Essential Experience
- Experience in the meat or food processing industry
- Certificate 3 in Meat processing or equivalent.
- Formalized internal audit qualifications or accreditations
- Knowledge & understanding of the Meat Hygiene Assessment
- Knowledge of AUS-MEAT Beef specification standards
