About the Role As Risk Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and specialist support to our Corporate Governance and Risk service. Your role includes coordinating various committees, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with policies and legislative requirements. Your strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to effectively communicate will contribute to the smooth functioning of our governance and risk management processes. Some key responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Governance and Risk service, including report collation, formatting, and processing purchase orders. Coordinating Council's Internal Audit Program, acting as a liaison between Council and external contractors. Monitoring and tracking Council's Outstanding Audit Actions from Internal and External Audit Reports. Contributing to the management of Council's Corporate Risk Register and reports. Scheduling and coordinating relevant risk training and ensure the updating and display of induction packs and risk management processes and policies. Facilitating appropriate health monitoring processes and coordinate medical appointments related to workers' compensation and injury management. Contributing to the development, delivery, and maintenance of Council's Governance and Risk Frameworks. Maintaining a high level of personal ethics, confidentiality, and customer service. About You We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for corporate governance and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Prior experience in a similar administrative support role, preferably in a corporate governance or risk management environment. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to governance and risk management. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
