About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Play Well and Safer Gambling Strategy, the role involves people leadership of a team of >10 specialists, ensuring adherence to compliance obligations, SG decision making, customer empathy and mitigation of risk. The role involves a significant degree of contact with the specialists, ensuring coaching and quality, real time monitoring of performance and managing customer escalations. The Safer Gambling Team Manager may be required to handle escalations as appropriate ensuring sufficient support and management of cases. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with their peers to operationalise our SG transformation agenda ensuring that Sportsbet continues to lead the way on consumer protection.
Responsibilities Include:
- Day to day people leadership including 1:1 performance conversations, regular coaching, call reviews, customer escalations and ongoing training and development.
- Advance and continually optimise the customer care model ensuring specialists deliver accurate and timely intervention/interactions with exceptional quality to the customer profile
- Drive and continuously ensure Sportsbet meet all compliance obligations associated with Safer Gambling, as defined in various sources of regulation, legislation and codes of practice (inc. collaborating with adjacent functions on requirements and assurance)
- Creation and implementation of processes and training and supporting team change activities through communication
- Responsible for operational performance and insights reporting.
