The Strategic Business Unit Compression Technology forms the backbone of the HOERBIGER group worldwide which has more than 100 years of experience setting standards with performance-defining solutions for Industry.
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the National Sales Manager the position will have responsibility for Sales Activities with customers in Victoria, NSW, Tasmania and South Australia.
A successful applicant should look forward to assisting us to continue our strong record growth by managing our existing customer base and opening up opportunities in new markets by promoting our exciting innovative technology.
About You – You may have some or all of the following :-
• Demonstrated success in a Technical Sales role (preferably linked to the Oil and Gas sector)
• A Recognised qualification in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred) or a related Technical Field
• Customer focussed with a commitment to pursue a career in Sales and Business Development
• An ability to learn about new products and concepts and share knowledge with customers and colleagues
• Strong communication skills written and verbal
• Some knowledge of rotating equipment
• Exposure to a modern CRM system (Salesforce preferred)
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
• An Australian Drivers licence
The Role – Our expectations :-
• Responsible for the planning and performance of all sales activities.
• Supporting Customers directly by collecting relevant technical information and liaising with Engineering and Customer Service to provide accurate quotations.
• Providing regular reports, forecasts, market and competitor information and customer feedback to the Company
• Participating in trade shows on the local and national level.
• Analysing and understanding customers’ needs on Equipment, Parts, Maintenance, Service and Upgrade options
