About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an exceptional individual to join a successful and dynamic team as a Sales Representative in our Projects Department based at our West Gosford store. Your target demographic will cover the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter areas which provides significant opportunity for the right individual to develop and build key relationships and be rewarded for your success.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing new customers in line with business strategies;
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts;
- Strengthen existing customer base to ensure maximum purchasing and longevity of relationship;
- Extensive customer follow-up in order to turn quotations into orders;
- Strong communication with inter-company departments to ensure highest level of customer service through the entire sales process;
- Provide feedback from and about the market regarding trends, opportunities and activities.
- Work closely with Sales, Accounting and Warehousing teams to achieve company sales targets;
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners to escalate and resolve issues that may arise; and
- Work directly with major clients to support management of ongoing jobs.
What We Need
A Sales Representative needs to be an enthusiastic individual with experience to identify new client opportunities, expand on existing business and build strong relationships in the Plumbing and Building sectors. You will be responsible for an established client base, however there is considerable scope to foster new clients from the ground up.
A successful candidate will be able to display a proven sales record as well as an ability and drive to achieve KPIs through understanding the importance of quote follow-up and sales strategies. Self-motivation with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as a high level of presentation with the ambition to exceed customer expectations and the ability to identify situations and modify approaches to different types of clients is advantageous. Experience in the plumbing/building supplies and products market (selling made to order type products), excellent computer skills (MS Office and Google Drive) and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently while independently being able to multi-task to meet deadlines are all highly desirable.
