This is a full-time role, based in the Melbourne store, Monday to Friday. This role focuses on assisting in day-to-day operations within a successful, expanding family business and working with industrial goods and services in day-to-day operations and multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.

Objectives of this role
· General Sales Representative duties such as providing front-desk coverage by managing a busy, multi-line phone system, greeting customers as they enter the office, managing incoming/outgoing mail and shipments, and maintaining an organized, clean office environment.
· Providing technical support to customers and assistance to management
· Ensuring optimal use of office equipment, supplies, and inventories through preventive maintenance.
· Assessing customers' needs, recommending, and explaining goods and services to them while assisting with customer accounts.
· Maintain workflow by analysing and refining standard operating procedures, such as scheduling, communications, and office layout.
· Establishing and acting on selling opportunities by visiting regular and prospective client businesses.
· Coordinating internal and external resources to expedite workflow.
· Managing incoming and outgoing messages and inquiries across all communication platforms.
· Create system specifications, drafting and proofreading documents.
· Coordinating the provision of services, arranging delivery of goods, and overseeing the installation of equipment.
· Review and prepare workflows, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
· Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, resolving any arising problems, and preparing sales reports to maintain the primary goal of customer satisfaction.
· Maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurred, preparing sales reports, and reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services.
· Organise delivery of goods, oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
· Maintain a safe, healthy and positive work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
Position duties involve:
· Handling the receipt and dispatch of goods, including the loading and unloading of shipping containers.
· Reconciling incoming and outgoing stock by cross-checking with requisitions and updating inventory and stock location records in the POS system.
· Inspecting incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accurate fulfillment.
· Creating samples and swatches for display and distribution.
· Establishing and managing continuous processes for receiving, handling, and storing goods.
· Providing advice to customers in-store, over the phone, and on-site regarding DCC industrial products and accessories.
· Delivering customer service to clients in-store, over the phone, and on-site as needed.
· Preparing trade and retail orders in a timely and accurate manner.
· Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with existing trade customers through regular engagement and with new customers through research, site visits, outbound calls, and other necessary means.
· Calculating end-of-day balances, optimizing loss prevention measures, and overseeing monthly stock control.
· Assisting the senior management team in meeting budgets and business goals.
· Regularly reporting to senior management, providing progress updates, analyzing productivity, developing actionable plans for loss prevention, and addressing any issues promptly.
· Writing, creating, editing, and publishing engaging content for social media on a weekly basis.
· Capturing pictures and videos of ongoing and completed projects.

A Forklift ticket is preferred and a driver’s licence is necessary for this role.
