Job description:
We are excited to announce we have a new position available for a Sales Representative/ Meat Specialist. This position requires a deep understanding of the meat industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities. You will work closely with the director and operations team to achieve sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and promote Victoria Hill Lamb's products to butchers, wholesalers, and food service / retail establishments.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitors in the lamb industry.
- Source new business opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with the feedlot and operations team to ensure product meets specifications for the target market.
- Travel as necessary to meet clients, attend events, and explore new markets.
You will need:
- Relatable sales experience in the meat industry.
- Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle.
- Full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
- Discipline and motivation to work autonomously with support of the feedlot & operational team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus and a passion for building and maintaining relationships.
- The ability to effectively prioritise your workload and be self-motivated.
- A good understanding of working with achievable goals and metrics.
