School Description -
We are seeking to employ a highly committed, caring and skilled person to be part of our School Officer and Support teams. It is preferable for an applicant to have at least a Certificate 3 in Education Support; Current First Aide Certificate and Working with Children Blue Card. The role requires the School Officer to:
- Have an understanding of, commitment to, and support for the values and ethos of the Catholic school and the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Be able to work collaboratively within an educational team. This includes working in consultation with class teachers, the school administration team, the support teacher inclusive education and the guidance counselor.
- Demonstrate the ability and openness to work with students with specific learning, personal care and medical needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with students in small groups, individually or in an inclusive classroom environment.
- Have experience in delivering early years literacy programs.
- Have the demonstrated ability to foster positive respectful relationships with students and through this to promote positive behaviors for engaging in learning.
