About the Role
As the Schools Office (Grounds), you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of grounds care and support to the Principal and Business Manager. You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Maintaining school grounds, including the maintenance of school oval, grounds, gardens, regular blowing, mowing and watering.
* Knowledge of and ability to apply workplace health and safety standards including maintenance of a safe work environment and the use and storage of petrol, LP gas, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers and other chemicals in conjunction with the use of Chemwatch.
* Moving furniture/heavy items around school and transporting classroom supplies to different locations within the school.
* You will provide support to the School's Facility Officer. You may be required to provide assistance in the maintenance of school's facilities including removal of graffiti and other minor work requirements.

This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
