We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough and US-based Lane Construction.Job description:Purpose of the Role:The Senior Accountant will support the AFC Department to provide professional, efficient and systematic processing of all FGJV Accounts function.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance or any other related Commerce field• White cardExperience:• 10 years' experience within an accounting department• At least 2 years' experience in a senior role• Preferred experience within a construction (infrastructure) environment Required Competencies:• Knowledge of SAP an HM• Sound understanding of financial accounting concepts and Australian Accounting Standards as well as IAS/IFRS and Italian GAAP• Banking system knowledge• Strong Microsoft Excel skills• Sound problem solving skills• Ability and desire to coach and guide subordinate team members• Strong Initiative and proactive nature• Key collaborative skills• Highly developed oral and written communication skills• Sound time management skills Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: The Senior Accountant will carry out the accurate and timely collection, processing and reporting of accounts payable and financial data. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting information within the Snowy 2.0 Project by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions to ensure efficient and accurate financial information. Daily transaction posting and book-keeping through SAP; Preparation and review of the executive budget at the end of each month, year or following a substantive change Financial accounting; Bank reconciliation; Cash flow management; General Ledger reconciliation; Internal audit compliance; Coach junior staff in their rolesThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
