Senior Accountant - Springvale - $85K-$120K Package

support an equipment industry leader in Springvale, VIC, has just become available.

Key Responsibilities:

• The company’s accounting and financial functions, including preparation of internal financial accounts
• Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties
• Summarise and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and other necessary reports per the financial calendar.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation
• Create and analyse liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
• Payroll management & Workcover renewals
• Experienced in supervising, mentoring and motivating finance team members.
• Recognise and implement internal audit control areas as and when they arise
• Stock Control including dealing with international suppliers
• Import/Export and customs experience with processing of electronic transfer of funds, negotiating exchange rates and multi-currency processing experience.
• Preparation of BAS, IAS, PAYG, Super, FBT and dealing with the ATO on taxation issues, as required
• Liaising with the company’s bankers, as required
• Assist with year-end audit, statutory reporting and income tax return

Key Experience & Qualifications

• CPA qualified preferred with a Minimum three years' leading a small finance team
• Strong experience working within an ERP system & Job Costing (MYOB EXO (EXONET), SAP or similar)
• Payroll experience
• Experience in a sales, service and distribution business
• Expert user of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• International Logistics experience preferred
