On The Ball Personnel, is excited to partner with our client and provide an awesome opportunity, in joining a successful and well-respected Public Practice accounting firm, based in Caroline Springs. No cookie cutter approach by this Company – their clients are educated to make smart decisions and having full control of their future.
They have an expert team, a loyal growing client base and require an additional Senior Accountant to shadow the CEO and share some of the Operational/Leadership responsibilities.
Our client is seeking an experienced and skilledSenior Accountant, who would like to develop and grow their leadership further by joining this accounting firm. The ideal candidate will need to have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of Australian experience as an Accountant, with expertise in various accounting functions, tax compliances, financial reporting and team management too. The 2IC will play a key role in supporting the firm's operations and assisting the Principal Accountant in overseeing the accounting team.
Some of the responsibilities are, but not limited to are:
- Client Communication and relationship building
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and address urgent issues.
- Schedule client meetings as needed
2. Team Management:
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Monitor progress on client engagements
3. Financial Oversight:
- Review financial reports and monitor cash flow
- Address any discrepancies in financial records
4. Client Deliverables:
- Coordinate timely completion of client deliverables
- Review client files for accuracy before submission
5. Client and Team Meetings:
- Conduct weekly client meetings and team check-ins
- Prepare agendas and facilitate discussions
Main Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and proficiency in Australian accounting principles and practices
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS lodgements, and other compliance documents accurately and efficiently
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team
- Manage tax compliance matters for clients, including income tax, GST, PAYG etc.
- Liaise with clients and relevant authorities to address tax queries, audits, and assessments promptly and accurately
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections for clients
- Implementing AI technology to improve efficiency and client satisfaction and Client Portfolio Growth
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation, preferred
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of professional experience as an accountant, preferably in an Australian accounting firm
