Senior Building Manager

A position is available within our management team as a Senior Building Manager overseeing the management of several residential and mixed-use buildings and supervising Building Managers within your portfolio.  

This is a senior role and you must have 5 + years previous Building Management experience and be ready to step up into a managerial position. You will have direct reports, and must be sufficiently skilled and capable of training and managing other Building Managers.

You will possess excellent customer service skills and knowledge of how buildings are run and maintained. 

You will be a highly capable person who thinks rationally, logically, and can work in a team and solve problems as they present themselves. 

What You Will Be Doing

You will be overseeing at least one building in your capacity of Senior Building Manager up to a maximum of 20 hours per week. Outside of these times you will be taking primary responsibility for the management of several sites usually within around 10km of the Sydney CBD overseeing a team of Building Managers. 

As Senior Building Manager your role will include:

• Acting as the primary contact for the Strata Committee;
• Managing major projects; 
• Attending and leading Strata Committee meetings; 
• Reviewing site Building Manager performance in accordance with our performance management process; 
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and capital works planning;
• Establishing and reviewing maintenance and compliance schedules; and
• Training and assisting in the development of your team. 

You will be part of the Sydney BMP senior management team, contributing to company operations, providing recommendations to the Managing Director, and helping develop and implement company procedures. You will ensure operational changes are implemented and managed across our portfolio. 

At all times you will be providing superior customer service assistance to stakeholders including building owners and residents.

Must Have's

• Right to work in Australia full-time;
• At least 5 years + Building Management experience or other related experience, for example strata management;
• A keen eye to thrive in a varied and dynamic environment;
• Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple priorities; 
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills both written and verbally;
• Advanced level computer skills and the ability to learn various systems; and
• A current Australian drivers license and vehicle are required, including willingness to travel throughout the day.  

More About The Role

• This is a full-time position generally 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday;
• You will cover sites generally within 10km of the Sydney CBD;
• Annual salary of $110k + Super + discretionary bonus;
• Training and ongoing development will be provided; and
