About CPS230
Across the globe, the regulators have an increasing focus on operational risk management and the operational resilience of critical operations, services, and business lines. Operational Resilience is the ability to “prevent, adapt, respond to, recover and learn from operational disruptions.” Prudential standard “CPS 230 Operational Risk Management” is effective from the 1st July 25 and aims to ensure that an APRA-regulated entity is resilient to operational risks and disruptions. An APRA-regulated entity must effectively manage its operational risks, maintain its critical operations through disruptions, and manage the risks arising from service providers.
There are multiple opportunities available for this role.
This role would suit an experienced and motivated Business Analyst who would like to join a team of like minded professionals focussed on optimising the organisation's Non Financial Risk management. Business knowledge and experience across Markets, Payments, Corporate Finance or Transaction Banking Institutional Banking domains is highly beneficial.
What a typical day might look like…
- Work with the wider business stakeholders to complete workshops to assist in the development, articulation, and delivery of the CPS230 program
- Document outcomes and socialise with the business stakeholders to complete outcomes in line with the requisite standards
- Analytical support for the synthesis, and communication of the driving forces, headwinds, and tailwinds (regulatory, industry, business, tech, cyber) of the operational resilience uplift
- Impact assessment of changes induced by the CPS230 remediation on the planned and/or inflight initiatives
- Estimation of cost, technical debt, and resources required for the remediation
- Develop wider understanding and capability, being able to provide a business outcome context view of work
- Leverage networks and stakeholders to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are captured
- Supporting the embedment of changes across the end-to-end value chain
- An intense passion and curiosity for customers, their needs and wants, putting them at the centre of everything you do;
- A desire to optimise customer experiences and deliver this as part of the CPS230 program;
- Flexible approach in mobilising around the work where it is required;
- Ability to explore customer needs in a data-driven way, develop and implement innovative solutions, test the outcomes, and iterate;
- Existing functional experience or expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Business Analysis, Change Management / Implementation, Business Process Architecture, Performance excellence, Risk & Assurance;
- Team culture, energy building and agile ceremonies; and
- Extensive problem solving “toolkit”. Broad range of visualisation techniques covering scope, progress, culture, goal, etc.
