About the role
Are you a privacy pro who wants to apply your skills to protecting the personal information of our customers and employees?
Reporting to the Privacy and Right to Information Manager, this role operates in a fast paced, high volume environment to support and facilitate the implementation and maintenance of best practice privacy management across the Division.
We are looking for someone who can put themselves in the shoes of busy people who are trying to deliver important projects for our customers whilst protecting personal information.
You will need to be able to get their attention at the right time, with the right information to support their work because they are unlikely to be privacy experts like you, but they know how important personal information protection is. We also support many projects to understand privacy risks and incorporate privacy by design to mitigate those risks, often with tight deadlines and complex information flows.
One day you might be developing a privacy impact assessment on a project that needs to go live quickly, the next you might be or supporting a staff member in their response to a privacy breach.
To be successful
- Previous experience of leading and developing Privacy Impact Assessments for new projects or initiatives
- Demonstrated experience of conducting internal reviews made under the PIPP Act
- Experience of providing privacy advice to inform decision making and mitigate privacy risks.
- Previous experience with anticipating and identifying contentious issues and developing recommended actions to address them whilst maintaining the integrity of the service.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $120859 base plus superannuation
