Their manufacturing facility in Melbourne oversees the full start to end process with an employee base of scientist, engineers, R&D's and quality professionals.
The EHS team works collaboratively with site operations management and employees to proactively identify and correct workplace hazards, strengthen communication, define roles and responsibilities and promote a companywide culture of safety at all manufacturing, laboratory and office locations. This safety culture improvement journey fosters employee involvement in workplace EHS programs, promotes awareness and strives to maintain a safe workplace for all.
The role
- Strong ability to liaise with key stakeholders, including important governing bodies.
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in Wellbeing Safety and Environment role in manufacturing or high risk.
- Work closely with operations at the manufacturing facility (north Melbourne/Tullamarine area)
- The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding across general health and safety, handling of dangerous chemicals and manufacturing site operations
- B.S. degree or professional experience across bio sciences, bio tech, environmental science preferred
- M-F onsite schedule, flexibility with start/end times
