In the role of Senior Human Resource Advisor you will provide professional high level human resource consultancy services and advice that is industrially sound on a broad variety of complex HR matters.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Consult and provide solutions to management on complex employee payroll and operational matters through interpretation of HR policies, procedures and relevant legislation in line with Queensland Public Sector HR Legislation, Awards, Agreements, Directives and Protocols.
- Provide support, advice and coaching to HR representatives on complex and sensitive employee matters including payroll matters, international work arrangements and employment screening. Recommend and implement procedures and practices that meet legislative compliance.
- Drawing on business knowledge, ability to access workforce data through payroll systems and other information sources to identify, develop and implement business solutions to address complex workplace issues and build workforce capability, staff engagement and culture.
- Research and analyse human resource management issues within the department, identify key areas for improvement and develop strategies that drive better practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gain support and influence HR outcomes for the Department.
- Prepare complex, high quality and timely correspondence, reports, briefing notes and submissions regarding a broad range of HR management activities, plans and initiatives.
