In the homes there are up to four young people residing in the households at any time. These children can range in ages from 10 to 17 years. The Senior Manager Residential Care and Manager Residential Care ensures the effective day-to-day management and operations of the homes.
This includes: Providing services to children in the CEOs care in accordance with Division 5 (Placement and Residential Care) of the Children and Community Services Act 2004 and other relevant legislation to ensure the safety and protection of children. Exercising powers in relation to Division 8 (Powers of restraint, search and seizure) to ensure the safety of a child and other persons. The overall management of Residential Care facilities and effective day to day management and operation of the Residential Care Home.
Managing Residential Care officers, an Education Officer and other professional support staff in accordance with the Departments Therapeutic Care framework. Provides consultation and advice to Managers Residential Care. Ensures the provision of a safe and caring environment for vulnerable children in residence.
