Paul Carroll Shoes are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to oversee our in-house Marketing Team. Please note this is an office position, not remote.
This autonomous and diverse role spans across digital and traditional marketing including ecommerce for both retail (B2C) and wholesale (B2B). It requires a candidate with a breadth of knowledge across all mentioned verticals as well as someone who is a team leader.
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will develop the national marketing strategy, oversee the digital and content strategies, manage the day-to-day activities of the Marketing Team as well as drive innovation in ecommerce and in-store experiences.
You will have the chance to lead and support the marketing team which includes a Senior Marketing Coordinator, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Graphic Designer/Photographer, Lead Creative/Graphic Designer, Marketing & Service Liaison & our Perth-based Visual Merchandiser. The team we have built is full of talent and enthusiasm, they’re ready to work hard and learn from an expert in their field.
The right candidate will be a passionate marketer who is keen to get creative and be part of a close-knit, dynamic team. You will be flexible, able to adapt to change well and continuously manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Marketing manager responsibilities include tracking and analysing the performance of advertising campaigns, managing the marketing budget and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity. To be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with web analytics tools and be able to turn creative ideas into effective marketing campaigns.
About the Role
By joining the Paul Carroll team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage the end-to-end marketing strategy of an established WA-based brand and expand its national presence for both retail (30+ brands) and wholesale (5+ brands)
- Coordinate a team of highly skilled marketers who want to work hard and achieve great results
- Manage relationships with external providers in digital marketing, ecommerce and marketing automation
- Manage relationships with marketplaces and major department stores
- Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of channels
- Develop and coordinate in-store and online promotions and activations
- Developing strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic
- Manage the creation of the seasonal catalogues, photoshoots and accompanying collateral
- Project manage all UI and UX developments
- Project manage all program integrations
- Drive innovation in ecommerce and in-store experiences
- Enhance customer experience and personalisation including automation strategies
- Manage internal communication within the head office and store staff
- Visit stores regularly
- Identify areas for growth and suggest solutions

About You
The right candidate will have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Management and ecommerce experience is essential.
- Digital marketing experience is essential
- Good working knowledge of SEO and SEM is essential
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end marketing strategies for multiple brands/verticals
- The ability to plan ahead whilst remaining flexible and adapt to change well
- Outstanding copywriting skills
- Previous experience with EDM software, email list management and automations
- The ability to implement and effectively communicate change within a medium sized organisation
- Experience evaluating and implementing ecommerce integrations to improve UX, data quality and increase conversion rates
- A sound understanding of how to optimise content for different platforms
- Proven knowledge of overseeing content through the Meta Business Suite to coordinate a profitable organic social media strategy
- Examples of effective and successful content creation
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the capacity to prioritise between multiple projects at all times
- Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
- A talent for reporting and proving ROI
