As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Currently using Tech One for their Payroll and looking to implement a new system towards the end of 2024. The successful Payroll Officer will have involvement in this implementation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team to manage the full payroll process for 400+ employees.
- Review and maintain employee details and deductions in the payroll system.
- Verify data from time sheets and salaries.
- Process payroll and one-off payments in compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures.
- Handle termination and redundancy payments, including calculations as needed.
- Review payroll-related costing and allocations, including leave accruals.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and maintain superannuation schedules.
- Process employee payments for Worker’s Compensation and Income Protection entitlements.
- Provide advice and interpretation of awards and legislation.
- Collaborate and build strong working relationships with other departments.
- Previous experience in payroll administration ideally within large, complex organisations.
- Experience with manual calculations and payroll systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
