Perks People Solutions are partnering with a community focussed and fast-growing organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer. The role is for a 12-month contract period and works in a team to lead the delivery of an effective end-to-end payroll process.
The Role:
- Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader and managing the full payroll process.
- Maintain the payroll system and employee records.
- Review and verify authorised time sheets and salaries time sheets.
- Review, process and certify the fortnightly payroll and one-off-pays.
- Process termination and redundancy payments.
- Maintain superannuation schedules and payroll-related costing and allocations.
- Perform payroll and general ledger reconciliations.
- Interpretation of awards and legislation and perform the correct application.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with business units.
- Solving system queries and data integrity work as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the payroll function.
- Assist with payroll projects as requested.
- Strong proven experience leading a payroll function within a large commercial, not for profit or government organisation.
- Experience working with complex Awards and/or EBA’s essential.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Advanced computer literacy and experience with payroll systems essential.
