Along with best practice maintenance and management practices of its existing portfolio of buildings and facilities. These are utilised to deliver Councils’ services to the Community as well as those from third party and other providers.This role provides an opportunity to work as part of the Facilities Maintenance team on the Frontline Service Desk. Providing general administrative and Business Support to the team. The role will further enable the development of the incumbent’s customer management, facility maintenance and incident triage skills. The position reports to the Program Leader Frontline Services working as part of the Engineering and Asset Services under the City Delivery directorate.Key Responsibilities
- Receive completion notices, request for further information or other documentation from Contractors and Suppliers. Enter data into maintenance management systems and escalate follow up actions as required.
- Assist the Service Desk Maintenance Specialist with receipt and provision of desktop triage for routine and simple fault reports, assign work orders and purchase requisitions as directed to the In-House Services team or Specialist Trade Contractors and Suppliers.
- Escalate non routine and/or complex fault reports and requests to the Maintenance Services Officer for further on-site investigation and mitigation.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in the handling of a wide range of information.
- Certificate 3 in Business Administration or higher or other post trade or post-secondary qualification below diploma or degree with knowledge and skills gained through 'on the job'
- Well-developed customer service skills for appropriate and successful interaction with facility users, service contractors, suppliers and the like.
