Busy Bees at Sandringham
Our Busy Bees Sandringham service is a 96 place service, situated right beside Sandringham Golf Academy and surrounded by parks and golf courses. Situated in the southeast end of Sandringham, our childcare Service is relatively close to Cheltenham and Black Rock.
Our Sandringham service has some wonderful qualities:
It is a stunning, recently refurbished, purpose built service
It offers the use of an undercover parking space for all staff
It boasts a fantastic outdoor playground which provides all-weather play options
We are looking for a dynamic, confident leader in the Early Childhood Industry who strives to excel and leads by example, setting high industry standards for their team. Working collaboratively with the Service Manager to help their centre, by creating quality relationships with children, parents and staff, and reaching the heights of success
Essential Qualifications
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA.
A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
Essential Skills and Attributes
Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to assist in ensuring quality practices and outcomes.
Ability to support, mentor and lead a team of educators in the absence of the Service Manager.
Capability to assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications.
Strong verbal and written skills for effective interactions with families, staff and regulatory bodies.
Ability to effectively address and resolve issues that may arise within the service.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
Previous experience in a Service 2IC, Assistant Director, Assistant Service Manager or similar role within an early childhood setting.
Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
Proficiency in using relevant management software and tools for communication, documentation and reporting.
A commitment to engage in ongoing training and development.
Skills to address and mediate challenges or disputes that might arise among staff or with families.
